This is the story of what we do together.
Sugar the glass. It’s just classy… and Jennifer likes it.
Jennifer’s Drink (made first, pictured)
Cut the kiwi into thin chunks and add that to the shaker with ice. Combine the booze in the shaker, and shake vigorously. Pour into a chilled / sugared glass. Garnish with a piece of kiwi.
Matthew’s Drink (not pictured)
Cut the kiwi into thin chunks and add the lemon. Muddle this a bit to slightly juice the kiwi. Combine the booze in the shaker, with ice, and shake vigorously. Pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with a piece of kiwi.
Notes: So… my thought was to make something really mild and slightly sweet for Jennifer. After tasting it, I realized I needed to have way more kiwi. It was just a bit too mild. It did have this really cool green color and some seeds on the bottom. I think for next time… cut the cherry … and add a second kiwi. My drink… was essentially an Aviation with kiwi. I tried a couple drinks recently where I dropped whole fruit into pieces and that added a really cool amount of pulp / texture to the drink. My drink was pretty good. This drink made me realize I need a fine seive… I liked the fruit texture, but there were a few chunks.
Learning is fun!
